Lizzie GhorleyOffice Staff
Lizzie has been working with us in the afternoons after school since early 2024. Lizzie's job, originally, was just helping keep track of all the behind the scenes paperwork, faxing, filing, and pulling records. Her energy and cheerful enthusiasm soon had her scheduling appointments, helping patients in their selection of eyeglasses, and taking over a large portion of the office computer work. Soon, she will be running the entire office by herself!
Amanda LaymanceOphthalmic Laboratory TechnicianSpanish Interpreter
Amanda joined our staff in 2025 bringing with her years of laboratory experience and a lifetime of customer service. She grew up here in Athens working in her family's restaurant business. Amanda spends most of her day in the lab making glasses, but occasionally you will see her scheduling appointments as well as pretesting patients. She is even in the exam room when her bilingual skills are needed. Her attention to detail while making lenses (she will tell you that she trained with the best) and her smiling spirit have been a valuable addition to the office.
